Resilience Engineering in a Microservice Landscape

The bol.com website depends on dozens of services, that might fail at any time and we don’t want this to affect our customer experience. I will discuss the applied resilience techniques via a live demo to show how it can save your day as well. We will dive into the code and I will show you how to apply these techniques, using the open source Hystrix library. Finally, I will share our experiences from applying Hystrix to our code base and provide insight into our operational learnings.
