Great design doesn't emerge on its own. It happens because people spend deliberate time and effort on design. Agile processes like Scrum can help with this, but when applied too rigidly they can also get in the way and cripple the product design. I've spent the past few years working hands-on as a gameplay designer and developer on the Minecraft team, and before that I was closely involved with design processes at Spotify and LEGO. In this keynote I'll share some experiences from this - how design and prototyping can work in an agile context, and some important patterns and pitfalls.
