How AI Will Bring Computing to Everyone
You need to be signed in to add a collection
Much has been said about the impact that AI and Large Language Models are having, and will have, on the computing industry. In this talk, I'll argue that not only are we looking at the death of classical computer science, but a completely new era of computing that will be dominated by language models replacing conventional software. Yes, it's scary, but if we can embrace this future the field of computing will finally be open to everyone - marking a technological revolution that benefits all of humanity. Matt Welsh is the founder of a stealth AI startup based in Seattle. He was previously a co-founder at Fixie; engineering leader at Apple, Google, and OctoAI; and Professor of Computer Science at Harvard. His alignment is Chaotic Good.
