Industry Myth Busting

The software development industry is fraught with myths, legends and other beliefs that aren't necessarily supported by facts. Joris has been working in this industry for almost 25 years now, and in that time has established his own set of convictions about truths and lies on topics like the importance of developer testing, choosing the right programming language, microservices and various other topics.

Although his experience may count as N=1, he believes he's had a lot of Ns: in this keynote he'll bust some of the more pervasive myths that he observes in the wild and will provide some food for thought that will hopefully make you reconsider some of your own strongly held beliefs.
