Jacob Tomaw has spent nearly 11 years at Orbitz, now Expedia Chicago, where he led their continuous delivery journey. In his role as Principal Engineer, Jacob works to improve the development practices for Expedia’s development teams and advocating for better development practices including continuous integration and continuous delivery. In the past, he has filled many roles in the development organization including Feature Developer, Internal Tools Developer, and Team Lead.

Outside of work, Jacob is the leader of an agile family team. The Tomaw Team conducts regular sprint retrospectives and planning sessions with bowls of ice cream that result in innovative ways of tackling issues and improving team moral. He is blessed to have a strong Product Person/Wife on the team and together they have built the team from a small two person mom-n-pop organization to a vibrant 7 person, multidiscipline, famOps team with a 9yo, 6yo, 4yo, 2yo and 4mo.
