Christof is an experienced Site Reliability Engineer, and manager of the managers. He is leading the evolution of Google's SRE engagement model.

In his six years at Google, he has managed and worked on various parts of its production infrastructure, including Cloud, Ads and internal developer tooling. Christof is also the co-founder of the German Pirate Party and former vice president of the German Informatics Society.

He has been a postdoc at the International Computer Science Institute, where he did Network security research and also large-scale computer-linguistic fan fiction analysis.
