Co-Founder & Chief AI Officer at QA.tech
Vilhelm von Ehrenheim is a Swedish artificial intelligence researcher, entrepreneur, and technology leader specializing in machine learning, autonomous software testing, and AI-driven data systems. He is the co-founder and Chief AI Officer of QA.tech, a company developing autonomous AI agents that automate end-to-end software testing, helping engineering teams improve software quality and accelerate development.
Before co-founding QA.tech, von Ehrenheim led the development of Motherbrain at EQT, an AI platform that helps identify high-potential investment opportunities using large-scale data analysis and machine learning. Earlier in his career, he worked on AI-powered risk and decision systems at Klarna, building expertise across data science, natural language processing, and predictive modeling.
In addition to his industry work, von Ehrenheim has contributed to AI research through publications on deep learning, company knowledge graphs, and machine learning applications in finance and venture capital. His work has appeared at leading conferences including KDD and EMNLP, reflecting his interest in applying cutting-edge AI research to practical business challenges.
Today, Vilhelm von Ehrenheim is recognized as a thought leader in autonomous AI systems and software quality engineering, frequently speaking on topics such as AI agents, the future of software testing, and the evolving role of artificial intelligence in software development.

Nobody Reads the Code Anymore: Quality Engineering for the Software Factory
We produce more code than ever, and we read less of it than ever. Agents write it, review it, ship it. Everyone is building their own software factory, and all the effort goes into making it produce more. But careful review of code we understand was the quality model for decades, and it doesn’t survive this shift. What replaces review is verification: proving the behavior instead of reading the diff. A factory optimizes toward whatever target you give it. Encode the target sloppily and you get noise. Your business knowledge and product intent have to become outcomes agents can verify, because that’s what they optimize toward. Your test suite is the loss function of your software factory. Drawing on how we build and test at QA.tech, with agents at every step, I’ll show what verification looks like in practice: testing agents navigating real applications, and evals for systems whose output you can’t predict. You’ll learn how testing agents verify real applications, how to encode intent into verifiable outcomes, and how to catch regressions without golden outputs.
