Cole Medin is a tech leader and educator who leverages AI to solve real business problems. He has built and scaled AI solutions across multiple ventures - from custom agent architectures to enterprise RAG systems and local AI deployments.

His biggest passion is teaching other engineers how to leverage AI effectively. He runs a private AI community and a YouTube channel that breaks down complex AI concepts into practical, hands-on guides and courses. Cole's content and training cover both building AI agents and leveraging AI coding assistants in ways that truly scale.

Agentic Engineering - The New Software Development Lifecycle

A hands-on masterclass on structured AI-assisted development using Claude Code

Description:

AI coding tools have fundamentally changed where bottlenecks exist in software development. Coding is faster than ever - but planning, validation, and architecture haven't kept pace. This masterclass teaches a structured methodology that addresses the full development lifecycle, not just the coding part.

You'll learn the Plan-Implement-Validate (PIV) methodology - a repeatable framework for using AI coding agents reliably in production work. We'll cover how to use coding agents for research and planning (not just writing code), context engineering techniques that make AI tools dramatically more effective, reusable command workflows and subagents for parallelizing work, and architectural patterns that optimize your codebase for agentic engineering.

This is not a beginner introduction to AI tools. This is a structured, methodology-driven approach to making AI coding agents reliable and repeatable across your entire workflow.

What attendees will walk away with:

  • A working understanding of the PIV methodology they can apply immediately
  • Command templates for planning, implementation, validation, and debugging workflows
  • Context engineering patterns (rules, project files, skills, progressive disclosure)
  • Architectural principles for AI-native codebases
  • Hands-on experience building with Claude Code throughout the day

Requirements:

  • Bring a laptop with a code editor (VS Code recommended), Git, and a GitHub account
  • Claude Code installed (or another coding agent like Codex, OpenCode, or GitHub Copilot, but preferably Claude Code)
  • An Anthropic API key or Claude Pro/Max subscription for Claude Code access

Format: Mostly hands-on building with short teaching segments in between. Attendees will work through real exercises throughout the day, not just watch slides.
