Artie Shevchenko

Lecturer at ITMO University, author of Code Health Guardian, and ex-Googler

Artie Shevchenko is a software engineer, lecturer, and author with 15 years of diverse industry experience. While at Google, he created the internal "Good Code Reviewer" classes, which earned a 4.5/5 rating based on over 100 reviews and were taken by more than 1,000 Googlers in just one year.

Passionate about sharing his expertise, Artie contributes to the tech community through writing, teaching, and mentoring. He has been teaching the Productive Software Engineering university course for five years and is the author of Code Health Guardian, a recently published book that explores the evolving role of human software engineers in the AI era.

His diverse experience—as a software engineer, engineering manager, and CEO across tech giants like Google (2015–2019) and Canva (2023–), medium-sized companies, and startups—drives his pragmatic and thoughtful approach to code review and software development in general.
