Joon is an engineering manager at Spotify, currently working on making Backstage the best internal developer portal out there through the development of Spotify Plugins for Backstage. With previous experiences working as a frontend software engineer at Google as well as conducting astrophysics research at Fermilab, he brings his unique set of experiences to growing safe, high-performing, and learning-focused teams.

Joon is the author of the popular SQL Murder Mystery. When he is not building software, Joon is a composer for community wind bands, orchestras, and choral ensembles.
