Dr. Chanuki Illushka Seresinhe is the Head of Data Science at Zoopla, where she oversees data scientists at Zoopla and Hometrack. She is also the co-founder of Beautiful Places AI, a venture that combines crowdsourced data and AI to create comprehensive, high-resolution data on beautiful places in every country around the world. Before joining Zoopla, Chanuki worked as a commercial data scientist at Channel 4 and was the Director of Data Science for Culture Trip.

Dr. Seresinhe has a PhD in Data Science from the University of Warwick. Using online datasets and deep learning, she studied the impact of environmental aesthetics on human well-being. Her research work conducted at both University of Warwick and the Alan Turing Institute has been featured in various global publications, including The Economist, Wired, The Times, BBC, Spiegel Online, Guardian, Telegraph, Scientific American, Newsweek and MIT Technology Review.

Chanuki also brings a wealth of experience from the digital domain, having successfully managed her digital design consultancy for over eight years, prior to embarking on her transformative data science journey.
