Michiel is a lead software architect, working as a hands-on developer that is capable of transforming whiteboard designs into working software, together with a team of developers.

He has completed a thorough analysis and PhD on 'Evolution of Low-Code Platforms'. Currently at AFAS Software, he has worked on many projects with an experience of more than 11 years in developing, designing, and using a lot of c#, and the evolution of the systems.

Michiel’s main interests are low-code platforms, event sourced systems, and the evolution of these systems. He says with conviction, "talk is cheap, show me the code".
